The Gaze Of Nothingness
At first glance, from a distance, the paintings look like flat images made in one colour. But if you look closer, it is as if you activate them. Then you see that they are complex, sensual, and multi-layered with strong colours running underneath to the edges. Then it is as if a presence hovers in front of or behind the ground, thickening it or hollowing it out, bringing them alive. If you stand in front of them, these paintings act as if they are the one’s looking at you, as if they are faces that are watching you watch it, smiling seriously and kindly, without taking their gaze off you.

I WANTED TO PAINT NOTHING, SO I WAS LOOKING FOR THE ESSENCE OF NOTHING AND FOR ME THE PAINT WAS IT - ANTI- FUNCTIONAL IT’S A TYPE OF ZERO SPACE, WHICH I INTEND TO MAP, ENTER, COLONIZE AND, EVENTUALLY, INHABIT - THERE IS NO BEAUTY WITHOUT NOTHING - I SING NOTHING’S BEAUTY - THAT IS, BEAUTY – I’M A L’ ART POUR L’ ART ACTIVIST - WITH EYES & MOUTH WIDE OPEN SO THAT THEY CAN BE FILLED FROM THE DEEP WELLS OF THE UNKNOWN - ILLUSION IS A REVOLUTIONARY WEAPON - THANK YOU FOR READING
