Konstantinos Koroneos was born in Kythera. He spent his teenage years in Australia before returning to Greece to study in Athens. He is one of the photographers who have left their mark on contemporary advertising, especially fashion photography, with his innovative, highly aesthetic approach. He has collaborated with major fashion magazines and advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi London on an international shampoo campaign. He has also collaborated with major clothing manufacturers on catalogue work. His profession has led him to travel to many parts of the world. However, he returned to live permanently on Kythera a few years ago, and has made the island a central theme of his photography. He has experimented with and devised many different photographic styles and his artistic work has been widely exhibited, particularly those based on the use of Polaroid technology.
