Maria Schina

Maria Schina was born and grew up in Athens. She studied Sculpture at the Gerrit Rietveld Amsterdam with postgraduate studies at the Digital Arts Department of the Athens School of Fine Arts. She has presented 6 solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. She has co-founded Kytherios Music, an independent music label and cultural entity that organises cultural events. Since 2011 she is the main curator at "follow your art" gallery in Kythera. She lives in Kythera. Issues of identity and personal history are central to her artistic practice, expressed through installation, video and performance.
