Stefanos Rokos is exhibiting at "follow your art" gallery, for the first time in Kythera, part of the work entitled "THE AGE OF ELECTRICITY". In this show, his subject matter derives from everyday life where human figures have the leading roles; a daily life where at first glance everything seems normal. However, looking carefully at the faces, we notice that they bear the burdens of modern-day and mainly that of political and social tension that prevails in recent years around the world. His paintings are of large dimensions with a particular, detailed and whimsical design. Horizontal and vertical lines divide the composition in a way that is often violent and fragmentary, thus commenting on the reality that one person experiences. Other times, tree trunks are used to soften the tension and to possibly, remind us of the positive influence of nature over human life and soul.
