Pat Kaufman is an American-British artist who has been based in London since 1985 but now lives on the island of Kythera. She studied at the Marlboro College in Vermont and at the Goldsmiths College in London. She is a sculptor and her practice often relates to the history or archeology of specific sites and much of her work has been in collaborative projects with architects, engineers, scientists and others. She has exhibited widely in Europe and the UK and has undertaken public art commissions for The Gulbenkian Contemporary Arts Centre, Lisbon, the A13 Artscape Project for the London Borough of Barking, and for Imperial College, London, amongst others.
