On Sunday, June 11th 2023, follow your art gallery invites you to the third in a row exhibition titled “Kytherian Collectiva”.
One of the main goals of the gallery since its inception, has been to showcase artists who are related in some way to Kythera and to host their work with openness and attentiveness to their creative freedom. Kythera is an island with talented artists, either graduates of art schools or self-taught, who may have origins from the island, have chosen it as a permanent place of work and residence or are regular visitors because they just simply love it.
The idea for a group exhibition in which the work of these artists could be presented collectively, was born in 2012 with the annual exhibition "Big Crisis Small Art" which took place on the island for seven consecutive years. In 2020, after a one-year break due to the pandemic, the artistic world reconnected in a group exhibition under a new title "Kytherian Collectiva".
This exhibition gives the freedom to artists, whether they are at the beginning of their careers or already recognized, to participate with any chosen work, without strict limits and specifications. The result is a colorful, multi-dimensional visual effect that embraces all the arts. The visitor to this art celebration will see works that combine different media, paintings, sculptures, comics, drawings, tapestries, ceramics, photographs.
